WENDY YUEN, Executive Director
Trained as a musician and a lawyer, Wendy Yuen enjoys a versatile career as a soloist, collaborative artist, educator, arts administrator. She is now the chief executive officer of Alpha and Omega (“A&O”). She’ will begin to pursue Doctoral of Musical Arts in Organ Performance and Literature at Eastman School of Music in September 2016. Wendy is one of the founders of A&O. Founded in 2009, A&O is a small yet dynamic company. It started with publication of choral music. With a view to bringing good quality music to the public, she started the Bach Cantata Lecture Recital series in August 2013. She has organized a Bach Sacred Music Festival in 2015 to celebrate Johann Sebastian Bach’s 330th birth anniversary. Being an active organ soloist and collaborative artist, she also gives organ lecture recitals and organ training workshops in Hong Kong and other parts of the world. Wendy has worked as an in-house legal counsel at HNH International Limited and the company manufactures and distributes the famous award-winning label Naxos CDs. She later worked as an in-house legal counsel in Media Asia Limited and the company specializes in film production, concerts organization, artist management, DVD manufacturing and distribution. These two legal and commercial work experiences greatly help her to run A&O.
Under the tuition of Tam Tin-Shi, Wendy was awarded the ATCL and LTCL in Organ Performance. Upon her graduation from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, she obtained a Master of Music degree in Organ Performance at the University of London where she furthered her organ study under David Sanger. She later passed the Common Professional Examination from The Manchester Metropolitan University. Being awarded the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws from the University of Hong Kong, she was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong. She recently obtained a Master of Christian Studies at the Alliance Bible Seminary.
